Breitbart News cheers "trouncing" by a member of the permanent US political class backed by millions who makes it almost impossible for ordinary Americans to be heard especially in Boehner's district

.
2010: Nice job you have here....would be a shame....Nice job your wife has here....would be a shame...You like Ohio?....Would be a shame... Nov. 2012: No one attempted to oppose Boehner.

4/30/14, "Boehner’s Last Two Opponents Were Fired From Their Jobs," Daily Caller, Patrick Howley (2010 and 2014. In 2012 he ran unopposed)

===============================

A Breitbart News article opens saying John Boehner "trounced" his challengers. From information later in the article and reporting elsewhere, one finds "no contest" is a better description than "trouncing:"

5/8/14, "Tea Party Grapples With Tuesday Losses," Breitbart, Michael Patrick Leahy

"In the war between the GOP Establishment and the Tea Party, Tuesday was a bloody day for the Tea Party....

Speaker John Boehner trounced two primary challengers."...

=======================

Comment: "Trounced?" Later in the article Breitbart News says Boehner's main 2014 opponent was "never a serious challenger" and raised "a mere $48,000" compared to Boehner's millions. Breitbart doesn't report that the "trounced" 32 year old candidate and Ohio high school teacher JD Winteregg was fired from a second job he'd had for three years as a college instructor in late April due to his employer's objection to a controversial ad Winteregg ran against Boehner.

JD Winteregg
Also omitted is that the Chancellor of Cedarville University who fired Winteregg from his job is a big advocate of Boehner's immigration agenda, participated in a press conference on the issue and a day later  traveled to Washington DC with a group of pastors to lobby Boehner on the topic. A University spokesman had said of Winteregg's termination, "we don't get into politics."

Leahy doesn't report that this is peanuts as to why it's almost impossible to mount a serious campaign in Ohio against Boehner and that in 2012 Mr. Boehner ran unopposed.

In 2010 a West Point graduate ran against Boehner as a democrat and was fired from his job at Proctor and Gamble for doing so. P and G tried to talk Coussoule out of running, saying, "Why would you want to run against John Boehner? He’s been so good for our business.” But the candidate refused to back out and was fired. The candidate's wife with whom he has two small children also worked at Proctor and Gamble. A few weeks before the election Proctor and Gamble transferred the wife to a job in ANOTHER STATE. After the election the candidate moved out of Ohio to be with his wife and children.

If like Breitbart News you're happy that the lobbyist, corporate crony, media, and permanent political class have merged with the federal government you'd say Boehner "trounced" JD Winteregg. Even if you have a "serious" candidate able to raise money from citizens who doesn't get fired shortly before the election, and whose wife isn't transferred out of the state, chances aren't good. The "major contest" Breitbart describes isn't possible under these conditions and didn't happen in 2014 in Ohio.

Andrew Breitbart's name doesn't belong on the websites now using it and hasn't for a long time. Andrew Breitbart didn't work himself to death for the Republican National Committee and Fox News.
