About .06% more absentee ballots requested for 6/24 Mississippi runoff than were requested for 6/3 Republican and Democrat primaries, per Mississippi Sec. of State

.
19,144 vs 18,036. 1108 more absentee ballots "have been requested" for the 6/24 runoff than were for the 6/3 primaries (both Republican and Democrat). They don't say what the difference was on 6/3 between ballots "requested" and ballots tabulated. This report was Monday morning 6/23 and the ballot deadline wasn't until Monday afternoon at 5pm, so it obviously doesn't represent total 6/24 ballots received.

6/24/14, "SOS: Absentee votes are up," Jackson Jambalaya

"Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann issued the following report on absentee ballots in the Republican runoff for Senate:

"19,144 absentee ballots have been requested as of 9:00am on Monday, June 23rd. This compares to 18,036 total absentee ballots requested in the June 3rd Democratic Party and Republican Party primary election." Absentee ballots were due at 5pm, Monday June 23rd.

The press release lists each county and the number of absentee ballots requested for the runoff. They don't say what the difference was between ballots "requested" and ballots finally tabulated for the 6/3 primary.

The 1108 additional ballot requests amount to a .06% increase between the two elections.
