"The headline was bold--and completely wrong. Over at National Review Online was this headline on a piece by my former Reagan colleague and NRO columnist, Mona Charen: "Rush is wrong about government shutdowns: There is little doubt that the shutdown damaged the GOP's standing, of that another would do the same."

Um, not exactly. As a matter of fact, Rush was exactly correct when he said, as quoted by Mona:

...Inexplicably, Ms. Charen has taken a long and deep puff of that old weed, "Inside the Beltway Wisdom Gold."...
